Description

My latest creation of bird-like characters, a cartoon bird.

The eyes pupils are controlled under the Direct character properties by changing the texture. He has an open and closed beak, they are attached at the nose and ears sockets. You can direct or keyframe the visibility

You can change the colors, head and body size to create different kind of birds, like you see in the picture.
The set contains these three birds on a wire.

Good luck animating!

    • Nice birds, Ikes.. and a great learning tool. One suggestion: Your set should have included keyframed eyes for all of the positions. Once keyframed, they are stored with the set and can be reused, This set only includes 2 eye positions, which means that anybody who buys it will have to create their own eye graphics. Not a big deal, but I think most people will expect a complete purchased solution

    • Hi Pat,
Just reading this. I thought I had put all eye positions in there. I did the eyes with direct instead of keyframes, that's easier to swith and people without the keyframe pack could use it too.

    • I have just downloaded it myself and the eyes are in there. You can select a bird and go to Direct character properties. As attachment select "Bird._eyes".

    • My mistake, Ikes! Thanks for pointing that out! I usually use keyframing, so I wasn't even looking at the directed pallet! In retrospect, directing this attribute is probably the way to go, since there are 9 available slots and 9 eye positions (not counting "closed"! Having all your choices lined up in a grid is such a good and usable solution! You never cease to amaze me!
