My first review spoke in generalities, but this time I want to specifically mention the things I liked about the story:

1) I really like the moon landscape and the standalone moon model. I don't know if you made them or if they came from user assets, but they are both perfect for your story!

2) Great job on the Alien's space suit... especially the clear helmet!

3) All the models were cool, specifically the rocket launcher & rocket/drone, the tracking device, the gizmo that Neal Armstrong kicked, the transporter, The ice crystal, and the satellite

4) The visual and sound effects that really jumped out at me were:
a) The NASA style radio voices
b) the sound effects throughout
c) the glow you are able to add to buttons
d) the communicator that the leader uses to keep in touch with GreyAlien (VERY cool!)

5) It's cool the way you dispense extra info to the audience throughout the story by using the chalkboards and the red information text.

6) nice (and humorous) touches include the peace symbol flashed by the Grey Alien when Neal spots him.... and the combined lined "Houston, we're not alone...(zap) ... now we are...." I chuckled at both of those scenes ;-)

7) also VERY impressed with all of the keyframe animation you use to create scenes that would otherwise be impossible with the predefined Muvizu actions. Your videos are rapidly becoming the model for what is possible with Muvizu!

Again, I want to say that your ability to create such cool models quickly, combined with your grasp on how to use Muvizu and HitFilm for effects... and do it all REALLY FAST... positions you to build an audience and keep them coming back, because your speed of production is such that the audience won't get bored.

edit: also VERY impressive was the White house model and interior, but I'm pretty sure that came from user assets. Still, it's perfect for your story, and it would be silly to recreate scenery that already exists.

Thanks, all of the models are made by me, the lunar lander was created by me and my brother so he gets some of the credit on that, and for the white house, it's really a backdrop with a picture, lol...didn't want to take too much time on making that.

I was generally very impressed with the animation, and thought it was clever the way the theme song combines a C&W twang with that spacey Theramin wee-ooo sound. But at the end, does Obama ask, "Want a presidential quickie?" Or maybe it's, "Want a presidential cookie?" In either case, I'm afraid I don't get the joke.

It's cookie, not really much of a joke, I had writers block for that part, so I just through in there, anyways glad you liked it

Clayster,

YOU DA MAN!! I can't believe how FAST you are at putting these episodes together! Your models continue to amaze me, and your ability to use HitFilm for all the cool special effects is also quite impressive!

I think it's funny that the Alien speaks an unknown language which requires subtitles, but all of his chalkboard plans are written in English. Also the messages on his evil devices are in English. I guess we can chalk that up to previously abducted and re-appropriated earth products? ;-)

I thought the shorter intro worked much better than the first version that was twice as long... and I also thought the video that goes with the THEME SONG'S lyrics is a better match.

I was half expecting some mention of Stanley Kubrick. As you may know, it is commonly believed that the moon landing was a hoax, and that Stanley Kubrick was commissioned to create all of the film footage that was shown to the world. One of the pieces of evidence that leads people to that conclusion is the presence of multiple shadows in some of the footage.. which would be impossible if the only light source was the sun... but on a hollywood set, there would certainly be multiple light sources.

Likewise for Muvizu. I noticed multiple shadows in your video and chuckled at the irony.

Your intro mentioned spelling: I'm willing to review your scripts for typos and spelling errors if you want.. or maybe it would be easier to run your scripts through a spell checker. Everything about your productions is top notch, and it would be a shame to let the occasional misspelling detract from it... especially when all that you do requires so much human skill, but spell checking can be automated.

in conclusion... Clay, if you have a list of fans, put my name at the top of the list! I hold you in very high esteem, and I wish you the best of everything! I think you are on a roll here, and I don't see anything stopping you from here on...

Thanks for the kind words PatMarrNC, I'll keep your offer in mind, but the spelling is correct in the script, I guess sometimes I don't pay attention to myself whenever I'm writing on the words for the chalkboard or subtitles, I guess sometimes I get in a hurry to get it finish, but I need to learn to be patient, oh well I'm learning, another thing I notice is that when I posted the video, I put houston we have a problem, in stead of Houston We are not alone, I guess I was thing of that Radio transmission....lol, I'll correct it when It's posted, all of the models I just whipped up as the ideas came to my head, I didn't really think about how they looked, i just wanted to get the video done.

Alien Grey (Houston We Are Not Alone) Ok here we go again another episode of Alien Grey, this time he is on a mission to the moon to abduct Astronaut Neal Armstrong by the order of his Leader Monar, he tries everything from freeze rays to portal guns, but dose he get his man, let's find out.

just in case anyone notices, in the chalkboard plans in each scene, there maybe miss spells and missing letters, that is because Alien Grey isn't a very smart Alien Like Monar thinks He is, or it could be me....lol!

User store PatMarrNC wrote:
Has there ALWAYS been an eye beside the number of views for each user asset in the store? I ask because I just noticed that number represents VIEWS... I previously thought it represented how many times an asset had been downloaded.

It would be cool if there WERE some kind of download counter so we could see more easily what types of things people find useful. I suppose in a way the view counter does that... but it isn't dependable enough to help contributors track their sales.

Shoot I wished it was counted by download, just think how much I would of made...

well I'm glad you like zigg72, I left the hand attachments empty so he could hold things and do other stuff, you know I still have the set, and all of the model files, not sure if I should continue it since they have the sell feature in the store now, but would anyone buy it, I know it would make for a different kind of character for muvizu, and all of the props and weapons are really different then what muvizu has to offer, hmm....maybe I should, something I would have to think about.

an old RobotMan commercial I forgot abot....Lol! Lol...here's an old commercial video of a project I was working on right when I first started working with muvizu, I was looking through my old hard drive and found it, just forgot about it,anyways it was something that I was making for the store, but considering all of the work I was doing on it, giving it away wasn't my intention, it was coming along great, and everything looked really good, but there wasn't a sell feature in the store at the time so I canceled it, the commercial is kind of corny I think, but hey it's funny to watch.

one thing you might consider, Clayster, since you're already not that far from doing it... is to eliminate dialog completely and let all your gags be visual.

The upshot of doing so is that your video immediately becomes viable everywhere in the world. If you build a large internet fan base and sell ads, the ability to get EVERYBODY on the planet to hit your site (as opposed to english speakers) ... that opens up your potential into the billions.

A thought for the back of your mind....

Eliminate dialog? I can record voices much easier than making animations. Once Clayster gets famous for his Alien Grey series maybe my voice will be, too. Then all of us can eventually just do what we enjoy instead of needing to work to support it. We can all dream, right?

Yes Rocque we can dream, but dreams can also come true, and your voice will be known when ever this dose happen, I will call upon you again to help with the cows, by that time the cows will have a new look as well as Alien Grey, the more and more Ideas I get the more Alien Grey will grow, but I do need more people to help with voices if I'm going to proceed with AG, then I need more then just my voice, Right now I'm working on an episode Called ,,Houston..we'r not Alone", this time he going try to abduct Neal Armstrong while he's on the moon, yes I'm creating a lunar surface set, complete with the Lander, moon rover, creators and more, and I'm using 3D Milkshape to do it all only because its an easier and faster 3D program, and it's looking good so far.

I just noticed the AlienGrey logo you created for the series! Very cool! You are getting positioned to merchandise the heck out of your series!

Speaking of which, I notice that both of your paid assets are being downloaded (bought) at about the same rate as the freebies. I was wondering how that would work. I'm guessing that there is a transaction fee taken out for each DL, and I hope Muvizu gets a cut... but even if you get a fraction of the asset price for each of those transactions, over time you stand to make some serious money!

I'm a little surprised that so many here are content to make videos that use other peoples' intellectual property... (spoofs of movies and TV shows, comedy skits, music videos of popular music etc) After all the work, they don't own any rights to the project, and basically the only reward is whatever attaboys they get. If anything, using other peoples' intellectual property in your videos could introduce legal liability! That's potentially worse than making NO money for your time... there's potential to LOSE money!

The talent here on the forum is enormous, and I hate to see it squandered. I suggest that more people should take time to build a proprietary identity for their work, complete with Logo, theme songs, transition music, pro script writing etc.

I hang out on other creativity-based software forums, and I know that there are lots of creative people out there who are really good at one piece of the project. There are music forums, writing forums, graphic arts forums, 3d modelling forums, video production forums, animation forums etc etc etc... and people on all of those forums are open to collaborations.

What makes Disney and other such producers top notch (besides their budget) is the fact that they have teams of talent to work with... not one bright star who does everything.

Just a thought for the back of everyone's thinking.

thanks Patt, yep the logo was inspired by my sister, I was sitting and watching her write words for her posters and love the way she did the letters, so i ask her to make me a logo for Alien grey, and I'll add the alien to the letter "I" when it was done I scanned it and then edit it with photo shop, made two versions one it's self, and one on a moon, for the way it works on selling in the store, they do charge a fee, not sure how much I really forgot, but I'm glad that they do take out their part, after all if it wasn't for them, we wouldn't have muvizu.
