Sappy Christmas Videos and the like haha thanks been waiting a year to do this
2012/12/3 5:05:00
Sappy Christmas Videos and the like Hello I created a small shall we say remix/mashup/medly (dunno what to call this) it was a project I wanted to do last year alas I had no time so I kept the file of music for this year with a vow that I would not leave it till the last minute.. Anyhow so its part of a series (overkill series) of this particular song with a long version, short version and very fast A.D.D version lol anyhow here is the first of the series

apologies i had several technical issues so its not as smooth as i would like it to be but ""what can you do when you live in a shoe?" (i am also full of brandy as I type this so its likely more inchorent then usual cause I drink like twice a year or something) /hic

Where are textures stored? Ah okay glad you got it moved over haha. I will probably upload that anyhow (well a few textures I used). Stuff like that is actually easy to find anyhow on the net but I guess for consistency you need to use the same one if your making a movie with more then one scene
2012/12/2 23:45:53
Where are textures stored? if that happens its because the texture was not native to muvizu so you will have to make the object favourite and then create the object in the new set. If its a ground texture you need to use the set to build. Is it the snow textures? I can upload a copy to the muvizu site in the texture section if this is your issue and they will add it in the morning when they log on. This is a downfall of using prebuilt sets unfortunately

my slow spirit your english is not bad the translator tends to scramble it a bit from google. I have very poor french I forgot most of it but when I feed my english to translate to french into google it makes a mess and I have to fix it. The translator is not very good it uses the wrong words but as you improve you will find better words on your own.

Anyhow yes they had a treasure hunt instead. The treasure hunt is probably better to include everyone. I find competition on making videos for prizes is not great especialy if the prizes are software to improve the video. The reason being the best video wins quality wise etc but if they have better quality they likely dont need the software. So its better they do this way because a good video editor program makes is possible to make nicer video productions. Its difficult to rely only on the tools inside muvizu to make video.

I drag my feet when entering contests and I often only enter if a request is put out for entries due to low participation because I dont really want to win the prizes. I am happier its this way although the laptop is something I would enjoy this time, but at least they are not awarding prizes according to skill level or high quality video because it excludes new people or people with a low end pc.

edited to add punctiation..

how create an transparent window and a sinkhole? yeah importing can be a bit difficult well object creation in general as you build a set. in order to get stuff into the set easily you might have to find "the sweet spot" its near the center of the muvizu dome and up in the air. Just keep moving around until you fing a spot that lets you import easily and remember the area. I find that in some cases I have to import all the large objects before I start building and keep an area clear to make it easy to import it.

(The windows are large its a skinny object and they dance around if they are not bulky enough when you scale it down you will notice it starts to bounce. This is a muvizu thing which probably will never go away)

the WEFT of time ooh welcome story teller we need more story tellers

I enjoyed this a lot!

Big Grin

your brave with all that camera panning I just finished a little something using a single camera and a lot of panning/zooming and I wont be doing it again until muvizu improves how their cameras work lol

Adjust camera speed AFTER movement? you need to redo the movement there is no way to shorten the animations already recorded in muvizu although its probably something they should think about doing

Help, Error Message The File is Locked err windows 7 its 64 bit pc err I have not had issue since I changed to the codec that comes with my webcam. I am also not watching the video with muzivu running. I had to wipe my system of muvizu and reinstall to get it to stop doing this though. I am almost done my video then i will try to well break muvizu again.

This started to happen when I used the standard microsft codec to render out a small test clip with muvizu still running (I seem to recall this happening once before now but briefly and I think I blamed my pc.. but then i did the same thing used the logitech codec and forgot about it.. till now...)

Feedback Thread - v0.23b release (Nov. 2012) Hi so that focus thing bug whatever started in directx 11 now

Anyhow I dont think adding more mesh around it is the solution haha so I will just avoid certain depth of field/focus settings and try to work around it. I am keeping quiet about my other issue with the saving files because I dont want to temp fate..

I am also using toon setting in this video I dont notice it when I have toon turned off (actually I use it alot on low settings I just dont think people realize I like the sharper images for certain things eg details on my snow drifts and a few other things )

Help, Error Message The File is Locked I had this and just reported it as well. I could not find any way to stop it other then completely rebooting my pc. I also deleted the video I rendered as well. Then I switched to a different codec (one that comes with my webcam and the entire issue stopped). (for now) It appears to be calling up some process that is not shutting down but I can't for the life of me find the process to shut down on my task manager. I have to make a few more clips tonight and if it doesnt occur again now that i am using a codec not a part of the muvizu package its possible that its linked to the codec in their package somehow.

Urbanlamb's Christmas set - comments not being ac tripfreak wrote:
Jippiejay ! Christmas is saved !

I found the error: although all packages were shown to be up to date,

they were not !

Probably, because I uninstalled the 64 bit english version after installing the 32 bit german version.
Seems they use the same packages or there was an uninstall error ?

So, I simply un- and re-installed the missing package, and then:

Yummy !!! Cool

ah yes the light over the table is from prison set I think it was
and the ones in the skating rink is from the trainyard

glad you got it to work Big Grin

Urbanlamb's Christmas set - comments not being ac oh your very welcome. There are some things which I enjoy doing and one of my favourite passtimes is world building so I tend to "overbuild" most sets.

I also like making fake food lol so I am glad you like the set. I am trying to release things after I use the set as most of the items in these sets are very easy to make and for me the entire thing is a hobby. Set building is to me like crafts but without the glue and whatnot and mess

Anyhow I checked there is a second page of comments now, but they are not actually showing up. Thanks for commenting most of the time I would not bother sharing as there are plenty of assets already but I noticed that is not the case with muvizu so I will put up what I can as I use it and make it Big Grin
